Budget-Friendly Slow Cooker Meatballs
This recipe takes me back to my college days and ahem….. bachelorette parties. These meatballs were at every party with my college besties. They are also perfect for bridal and baby showers as well as a potluck at work.
The combination of the mustard and grape jelly give these meatballs just the right amount of tang. I know it sounds like an odd combination, but trust me it blends well together. Your guests will never guess how easy they were to make!
With only 3 ingredients and some time in a slow cooker, these meatballs are budget and time friendly! Literally all you have to do is put the 3 ingredients in and forget about them. And voila 4 hours later you have some tasty meatballs for your guests. No fuss, no muss and no huge mess to clean up.

1 bag of frozen meatballs
30 oz plain yellow mustard
30 oz grape jelly
Directions
- Place all 3 ingredients into a slow cooker and cook on high for 4 hours
- Remove lid after 4 hours and stir the sauce. Turn heat down to low until time to serve
Notes
- Make sure to use equal parts mustard and grape jelly (brand does not matter)
- DO NOT remove the slow cooker lid until after 4 hours on high. Otherwise, the grape jelly will not break down into a liquid
- Depending on desired amount of sauce, you can add additional meatballs. However, don’t fill the slow cooker more than 2/3 full
- Sure you can make your own meatballs, but the frozen ones hold their shape better after 4 hours in the slow cooker. Why add an extra step?
- For a gluten-free option, purchase gluten-free meatballs and check the label on the grape jelly.
